Dr. Cindy Hautanen completed her 4 year formal training at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, BC. She completed her university level biological science prerequisites at the University of Guelph, in Guelph, ON, and at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ON.

Cindy has passed the licensing exam set out by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CTCMA), which is the governing board in BC. She is trained in clean needle technique and has completed the BC provincial acupuncture safety course. She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (OAATCM), and is recognized under most insurance plans.
